The farm
The hotels Colle Etrusco Salivolpi and Belvedere di San Leonino are surrounded by nature: the farm estate covers 7 hectares of Chianti Classico Gallo Nero vineyards, 3 hectares of olive groves, and 2 hectares of arable land and woodland. Located at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level, on soils rich in galestro and alberese, the estate primarily cultivates Sangiovese grapes, complemented by varieties such as Canaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trebbiano, and Malvasia. From around 300 olive trees, an excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced, an authentic expression of the territory.
Wine shop "La Cantinetta"
The "Cantinetta" is located in the heart of Castellina Vecchia, along the charming medieval street of Via delle Volte. Housed in an ancient cellar dating back to before the 1400s, it offers visitors a unique experience with guided tastings of a selection of the best Chianti Classico, IGT, and Super Tuscan wines from the area. The tastings are accompanied by local typical products and seminars dedicated to the history of the region and the production techniques of Chianti Classico and extra virgin olive oil.
